Margaret Cho: The Sensuous Woman

The Sensuous Woman is a new burlesque, comedy and bellydance showcase, hosted by and starring comedian Margaret Cho. Featuring an impressive and rotating lineup of the country’s most renowned burlesque and bellydance performers, as well as hilarious stand-up and sketch comedy from both emerging and established artists, The Sensuous Woman has been playing to standing-room only crowds in Los Angeles monthly, and made its east coast debut on Fire Island in July. With a body-positive and queer-themed approach, The Sensuous Woman regularly features feminist and gay and lesbian comics, burlesque performers and bellydancers. Says Cho, “There’s a lot of gender swapping and gender play. It’s the gayest show you could have with women stripping in it.”
