Impact Briefs 7: The How-To Show

About the Show

Impact Theatre’s final production of its ninth season is an all-new installment of its smash hit festival of short, comic plays, Impact Briefs 7: The How-To Show. It features the work of several Impact veterans: Wayne S. Rawley — writer of last season’s hilarious crowd-pleaser Money & Run, Andrew Shemin — a master of the “Briefs” form, and local performer Dave Dyson — recently seen lurching across Impact’s stage as O.T. in Money & Run. Local playwright Debra Schifrin also joins the ranks, as well as the prolific and award-winning Rich Orloff.

Putting its own irreverent twist on the current Do-It-Yourself frenzy, Impact Briefs 7: The How-To Show attempts to educate and enlighten with such important lessons as “How to Write a Play: The Rooftop Lesson,” “How to Gain Controlling Interest,” “How to Ask the Scary Question,” “How to Order a Fun Dinner in a Fun Restaurant,” and “How to Teach Math.” For those most concerned with safety and security issues, Impact presents “How to Survive Being Stranded on a Deserted Traffic Island,” “How to Avoid Drowning in Two Inches of Water,” and “How to Survive a Goldfish Attack.”
