About This Show

Endangered Species is an animated movie with soundtrack performed live on stage. It is a film about disappearance, panic, witness and humor. The collaboration between Pierre Hebert and Bob Ostertag merges sound, film and mixed media and decades of commitment to revolutionizing the live performative experience. Hebert has long been considered a master of the unusual craft of creating animated films by engraving the story directly on film. The show allows him to apply this innovative practice to an open-ended story based on immediate events using whatever materials he wishes to use from pencils to newspapers to garbage.
