Set in the Scottish Highlands, Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe’s Brigadoon is a magical tale of time travel and the enduring power of love. It follows the exploits of two American tourists, Tommy Albright and Jeff Douglas, who stumble upon the magical Scottish town. Tommy soon falls in love with a local lass, but is afraid to give up the life that he knows; she can’t leave Brigadoon to be with him without breaking the spell and causing the town to disappear forever. Torn between love and obligation, they discover that “if you love someone enough, anything is possible, even miracles.” Inspired by the German story Germelshausen by Friedrich Gerstacker, Brigadoon is directed by Jay Manley.
