2008 Hybrid Festival of New Works is a two week festival that highlights the special performance vision of Resident Artist Marc Bamuthi Joseph and The Living Word Project.

Committed to producing literary performance
in the verse of our time by deriving personal performed narratives out of interdisciplinary collaboration, LWP joins with the Hybrid Project in a unique fusion of live music, Hip Hop, spoken word, and experimental theatre that will be performed by some of this generations most exhilarating interdisciplinary performance artists.

Performances over the course of the Festival will include new live music theatre works from artists Denizen Kane, Lauren Whitehead as well as first time theatre pieces from spoken word artists including Youth Speaks Jason Mateo in his first solo piece.
