Uncle Ovid’s Storytime & Stand-Up Metamorphoses

Performer Todd Conner has done a new translation of Ovid’s Metamorphoses and adapted it for a series of special performances in Uncle Ovid’s Storytime & Stand-Up Metamorphoses. The outdoor show features Conner, a few props, simple lighting effects, live musical accompaniment, and that’s it. Rather than a lavish commercial production, the idea is to follow the power of these ancient stories themselves, simply presented in a pastoral setting, to transport the audience members to the mystical place from which these stories emerge.
