Once a hit Broadway musical by the celebrated writers of The Front Page, then a classic 1930’s Hollywood movie starring John Barrymore and Carole Lombard, and now a hilarious new adaptation from the mind behind Lend Me a Tenor and Crazy For You, Twentieth Century is the story of egomaniacal Broadway producer Oscar Jaffe and the lengths he’ll go to return his name to the Broadway “A-list.”

Oscar is desperate. His theatre is on the skids, his good reputation is going down the drain, and his trusted and loyal followers all seem to be turning on him in his time of need! Oscar knows just what he needs to get the creditors off his back – he needs Lily.

Lily, however, has other plans. Burned once by her former producer (and lover!), Lily Garland (nee Mildred Plotka) has decided to wash her hands of him and move on to a new career on the silver screen. The last thing she wants is to reunite with that crazy tyrant, Oscar Jaffe.

As the Twentieth Century Limited rolls from New York to Boston, Oscar stops at nothing to get Lily’s name back on his marquee! With a train full of over-the-top characters, including ten German thespians, one unbalanced zealot, and two GIANT egos, this is sure to be an unforgetable ride.
