The Violet Hour

Richard Greenberg’s new play The Violet Hour inaugurates South Coast Repertory’s Julianne Argyros Stage. The play touches on the themes of the immutable nature of time as a man, who has come through World War I and believes in the future, embarks on a publishing career in 1918. After beginning his day searching for theater tickets, he encounters a lifetime of personal and public decisions that will impact him and his close friends.
