The Trial of Goldilocks

Kentwood Players presents The Trial of Goldilocks, by Joseph Robinette. The production is directed by Drew Fitzsimmons who promises a fun-filled afternoon of entertainment for all family members! The show is produced by Shari Barrett and Jordan Bland.

The Trial of Goldilocks is an exciting retelling of the familiar fairy tale and full of laughter as Goldilocks is brought to court to face charges of breaking and entering the Bears’ cottage. After the judge calls the court to order, the clerk presents the traditional story. But then the lawyers take over to present their sides of the case! This rollicking enactment has the jury playing tables, chairs, beds, and forest animals. But is Goldilocks guilty or innocent? Was the young girl a selfish, spoiled brat, intruding where she didn’t belong? Or was she the victim of the three conniving bears and their "band of hoods" in the woods? What will the jury decide? All audience members are invited to meet the cast and enjoy refreshments in the theater lobby after the performance. Parents are welcome to bring a camera for photo opportunities during the after performance reception only. Please note that an adult must accompany all children in the theater.
