New York City
The wily servant, Truffeldino, is just trying to get some dinner while keeping both his masters happy…and both unaware that he is serving the other. Pantalone is trying to get his beautiful but malaprop speaking niece married to the richest man in Italy, when her former suitor – whom everyone thought was dead – shows up. It’s a wild ride through Venice that will have your sides aching from laughter.
We return to our Street Theatre roots as David McFadzean (former Lamb’s staff member and co-creator of TV’s Home Improvement) gives us a fresh take on Carlo Goldoni’s Italian comedy classic… with music by Lamb’s Associate Artistic Director, Deborah Gilmour Smyth.
