How many times will a man walk in the footsteps of his family’s predecessors?
In this dark comedy, a young man, Jules, is challenged by the government man Le Dix, to carry Jules’s Uncle’s prized family legacy, the blade of a guillotine – Lady Justice, the secret Executioner’s weapon of choice. Jules, a revolutionist himself, is given three tasks by the government before he can refuse to continue the “terrible” task of putting to death enemies of the state, as his family has done for the last 150 years. He must carry the blade with him at all times, meet the beautiful daughter of the recently assassinated President, and face the accused in a prison cell. Will he stand firm to his beliefs or be swayed by the sweet soothing sounds of Lady Justice and her swift resolutions to a complicated world.
