Kevin Hincker’s The Guards is a madcap new comedy about a family of corrections officers living together in Wyoming. When a prisoner breaks out of the local penitentiary and comes to hide in their guest room, they hardly have time to protest – 9000 chickens have plunged onto the interstate, the town is in an uproar and marital difficulties are straining the family harmony. But their crisis is only the beginning, and as the house fills up with lesbians, eco-terrorists and playwrights, they will finally have to answer the question – just who is it that really belongs behind bars anyways? Sal Romeo directs.
