The Bed

The Bed is a funny and intriguing look at the very human life of a lasting marriage. A contemporary re-working of the play and film The Four Poster, we see the lives of painter Joe Isaia and his new bride Sara as they discover new love, children, growing apart and the importance of lasting love.

This is the west coast premiere of Chicago playwright Nikos Vlachos’ 2-character play about a marriage from the honeymoon night to nights beyond the mortal life of the marriage. It is directed by award winning Playhouse Artistic Director Michael Wallot and stars Mario Rossi and Kate Smiley.
