About This Show

This is a re-imagining of the Greek tragedy by Euripides in which the god Dionysus returns to the city of Thebes and entrances the men (not the women) into a Bacchic frenzy. This multi-disciplinary work examines issues of sexuality, power, and the ultimate price for self-repression.

The Bacchae is adapted by Allain Rochel, and directed by Michael Matthews.
