The Awakening

The Awakening is the first of William a. Parker’s full-length drama’s to be written. Drafted in the late 80’s, it received it’s first presentation at California State University, Sacramento, in 1992.

A son witnesses the murder of his father, A civil rights leader cut down in his prime. Afraid for his life, mother sends him to be raised by family. He is a man now and his father’s innocent blood screams for justice. It’s time for an Awakening…
