About This Show

A modern romantic comedy about a marriage and a dog! A.R. Gurney (Love Letters, The Dining Room) does it again in this delightful, charming, touching romp. With the kids out of the house, Kate and Greg are ready to start the next phase of their lives. That is, until Greg brings home a stray dog named Sylvia (played by an actress who literally speaks). The stray becomes a major bone of contention between husband and wife. To Kate, Sylvia is a rival for Greg’s affection. To Greg, Sylvia is an escape from the frustrations of his job and the unknowns of middle age. To Sylvia, who adores Greg, Kate simply does not understand the relationship between man and dog. After a series of hilarious and touching complications, Greg and Kate learn to compromise and Sylvia becomes a valued part of their lives.
