About This Show

The critically acclaimed production of Save It For the Stage — The Life of Reilly written and performed by Charles Nelson Reilly has been selected by L’Orange Film Production as the subject of a new feature documentary. The filming will take place at the historic El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood on October 14, 15, 16 before a live audience.

Mr. Reilly returns triumphantly to the El Portal having sold out for 3 weeks in the summer of 2001. Reilly went on to perform the show regionally, across the country and Off Broadway and is ranked by critics as one of the all time best “one person shows.” Reilly is a masterful raconteur who imparts his treasured wisdom as an old, ultra-seasoned pro.

L’Orange is a film production company whose principals have been a major part of the film scene, most notably co-producing the Sundance Grand Prize Jury Award winner, 1999’s American Movie and 2002’s Dummy, starring Oscar winner Adrian Brody and Mila Jovovitch. Currently the L’Orange team is preparing to shoot Billy Dead, a film by Keith Gordon and starring Ethan Hawke. L’Orange has also directed and produced pieces for Bravo/IFC’s Split Screen and Sundance’s TV Lab.

Appropriate for audiences 16 and up.
