About This Show

The Knightsbridge Theatre presents Steve Martin’s wildly inventive and popular play, featuring Pablo Picasso, Albert Einstein and the King of Rock & Roll, written by one of America’s favorite funnymen.

The play is set in a bar in Paris, the Lapin Agile, in 1904. The bar’s patrons include three men who are convinced of their important place in the coming century: young Pablo Picasso, who will paint Les Demoiselles DaAvignon in 1907; young Albert Einstein, who will publish his Special Theory of Relativity in 1905; and Charles Dabernow Schmendiman, an inventor. There is also a visiting time traveler, a singer from Memphis, Tennessee who’s skilled with a guitar and wears blue suede shoes.
