About This Show

A new dark comedy with rock music–inspired by the recent literary hoaxes of JT LeRoy and Nasdijj– Rick Mitchell’s Personality Crisis skewers America’s infatuation with celebrity and identity while exploring the disconnects between writing that’s "real" and "reality." Within the play “transgressive” writing becomes the ticket to fame for two “edgy” writers and a rock band. But the realities behind (and within) their constructed confessions create unanticipated developments. And an unexpected celebrity.Original music by Art Karamian, of The Apex Theory.
