Rude Guerrilla Theater Company is pleased to announce Thornton Wilder’s 1938 drama Our Town as the tenth and final production of its eleventh season. Inspired by his friend Gertrude Stein’s novel The Making of Americans, Stein’s deconstructive style can be found throughout the work. Employing a choric narrator called the “Stage Manager” and a minimalist set to underscore the universality of human experience, the play follows the daily lives of the Gibbs and Webb families, as well as other inhabitants of Grover’s Corners, a small town in New Hampshire. The Pulitzer Prize-winning play’s gracious ruminations on love and loss have made it a perennial classic. The play is directed by Rude Guerrilla Company Member Sharyn Case and is suitable for the whole family.
