New York City
What The New York Times called “the funniest farce ever written” returns to The Maverick Theater mainstage. Michael Frayn’s critically acclaimed play-within-a-play, Noises Off, follows a theater company’s desperate attempt to perform their own farce, Nothing On. The show begins during a thoroughly unprepared final dress rehearsal and continues through two more nights of performances, seen from both on-stage and back-stage. Directed by Maverick co-owner Nathan Makaryk (Improv Shmimprov), the entire show is staged on a two story set that rotates 180 degrees between acts.
