About This Show

An intimate one-woman play that is at times funny, sad, titillating, passionate, scandalous and caring, Marilyn… Forever Blonde tells the story of Marilyn Monroe in the icon’s own words and music. The show celebrates the glamour that was Marilyn, her rise to stardom, her views on sex, fame, the men in her life and her quest for love and acceptance.

Meticulously researched, playwright Greg Thompson’s script was crafted from hundreds of interviews and news reel clips in which Marilyn Monroe candidly discussed her life and her loves. It deals with her dreams of starring in the movies as an orphaned child, her discovery and rise to fame despite the constraints of Hollywood’s studio system, her marriages to baseball superstar Joe DiMaggio and American playwright Arthur Miller, her love affairs with Frank Sinatra, Jack Kennedy and Yves Montand and finally, the torment she faced while trying to gain acceptance as a theatrical actress in the midst of a Hollywood conspiracy to sell her solely as a sex stimulant.

Starring Sunny Thompson; Stephanie Shine directs.

Preview performances on Tuesday, February 20 and Wednesday, February 21 begin at 8:00pm.
