About This Show

This world premiere comedy by emerging young writer Joe Hortua takes place in a Manhattan restaurant where lives and dreams interweave. The bus boys are stuck in a grind but plan to rise above their station. The waiter is really an actor who goes on auditions by day, but the lines he’s paid to memorize are the nightly specials. The owner downs another glass of merlot as she’s had to modify her dream. Against this backdrop a Gen X couple enjoy a celebratory dinner and discuss their relationship – and the re-making of his career. Everyone has a story. The struggles are the same, only the economics are different. Will they get their just desserts? You decide. Directed by David Emmes.
