La Posada Magica

Now in its 10th year, this SCR holiday tradition follows a young girl who has begun to doubt the real meaning of Christmas. She is reluctantly drawn into a posada re-enacting the Bethlehem journey of Joseph and Mary. Comical mishaps along the way seem to justify her feelings, but before the posada begins to unravel, the glory of Christmas fills her heart and good cheer spills over into the audience. Diane Rodriguez directs this play by Octavio Solis, featuring music by Marcos Loya.
