King John

In the midst of a close, bitter campaign, two princes strive for the seat of power. Shakespeare’s King John follows the rise and fall of Henry II’s youngest son as he usurps the throne from his nephew and brings England to the brink of civil war, forgetting the first rule of governance: you serve at the people’s pleasure.
