Identity Interrupted: Back-to-Back Solo Dramedies

About This Show

What do you get when a Jew and a Mexistani walk into a bar? Two intoxicating solo shows exploring the internal and external elements that can combine to shake up our lives. In Part 1 of Identity Interrupted, writer-performer Jon Jacobs dives into his personal struggle with depression, love, and vocation, as well as his spiritual quest to fulfill his wildest fantasies. Next up, Sofie Khan journeys through “storybits” about everything from Trader Joe’s tamales to her Mexican-Pakistani identity triumphs to the results of the 2016 election. Expect things to get thought-provoking, emotional, and occasionally hilarious when this divulging duo takes over Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks. Stick around after the show for a brief Q&A session with the performers and director.
