Getting to Know…Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella

Unlike most of the musicals devised by the celebrated and prolific team of Rodgers & Hammerstein, Cinderella was created for television rather than Broadway. It aired in 1957 and was re-filmed with new casts in 1965 and 1997. Now the Rodgers & Hammerstein estates have authorized a new live 70-minute version designed for young performers of their musical based on the classic fairy tale. Bonnie Hellman directs.
