New York City
Funny Bone is a musical that takes the audience on a journey into the heart and soul of the comic mind. It tells the story of four stand-up comedians that are performing at a New York comedy club — the competition between them, the jockeying for position, the possibility of a studio talent scout, and the interaction between the talent and the club owner — all portrayed as the characters are getting ready to go on.
Interwoven into the action, each of the comics perform their original stand up material that comments both on the story of the musical, as well as real-life events. The material will change, of course, as all stand-up routines would, reflecting the day’s current events.
