About the Show

Betty Buckley and her band will take The Wallis stage to play songs from her haunting new album Ghostlight, selected by USA Today as one of the Top Five Albums of 2014. The new recording reunites her with longtime friend and producer T Bone Burnett. Buckley and Burnett began their musical collaboration when both were 19 years old, living in Fort Worth, Texas. Buckley went on to star on Broadway in 1776, Cats and Sunset Boulevard and is one of theater’s most respected and legendary leading ladies. Burnett has combined his unique artistic sensibilities into massively popular musical projects such as the soundtracks to the films O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Walk the Lineand Crazy Heart, and the television series Nashville. These two friends and talents have collaborated on an ethereal evening of edgy standards and pop songs. The New York Times raves “Her superior pop album, Ghostlight — is a special occasion. The show amounted to a master class in song selection and interpretation… by a voice who can take you to the center of the earth all by herself.”
