About the Show

Anyone Can Whistle features music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Arthur Laurents. This sharp, surrealistic satire tells the story of a corrupt and bankrupt town which invents a miracle to attract tourists. The musical examines the essence of sanity and madness and the individual’s responsibility to discover his or her potential. Michael Michetti directs, with choreography by Larry Sousa.

This production marks the U.S. premiere of the show’s only authorized revision since the original 1964 Broadway version.
