About the Show

Director Don Schlossman has transported Turgenev’s A Month in the Country from its native Russia to the pre-Civil War Old South. Nearly everyone on the plantation is in pursuit of love, but at the heart of all the yearning is a married woman who has been trifling with another man’s love for years. She suddenly falls for her son’s irresistible tutor, but soon learns that her young ward has fallen for him, too.
