About This Show

An unprecedented second play has been added to the annual summer Shakespeare Under The Stars! Director John Beane stages A Midsummer Night’s Dream, long regarded as one of the Bard’s most popular plays, in beautiful San Juan Capistrano’s Historic Town Center Park. The main plot of Midsummer is a complex contraption that involves two sets of couples whose romantic cross-purposes are complicated still further by their entrance into the fairyland woods where the King and Queen of the Fairies preside and the impish folk character of Robin Goodfellow plies his trade.
