WMI Plus At Home – Laura Itandehui

For our first WMI Plus At Home session of the Season, we’re celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with singer, songwriter, and sound artist originally from Oaxaca, Mexico, Laura Itandehui. Laura will be joined in conversation by music journalist and radio personality Catalina Maria Johnson (Beat Latino). 

WMI will also present Laura live on Sept 25 at Public Records in Brooklyn as the first artist in our new series Next Gen, celebrating the artists who are shaping the future of world music. These visionaries honor their deep cultural roots while reimagining traditions through a contemporary lens, ensuring that the music of the past continues to inspire future generations.
