We Move in Color
We Move in Color is a dynamic musical revue that tells the story of the African American journey through immersive art, music, dance, and spoken word. The show will feature the artwork of–Mr. Paul Goodnight, a celebrated local artist whose paintings have been featured in Hollywood and the Smithsonian. It will also include the award-winning photography of Lou Jones and story design by Emmy award winner, Wyatt Jackson. The ‘moving’ and immersive artwork (think Van Gogh exhibit) will be both a focal point and backdrop for other show elements, including singing, dancing, and poetry…all while relaying the important narrative of the African-American experience of pre-colonial Africa through the middle-passage, the struggles and triumphs of modern America, and the unapologetic aspirations of an emerging and increasingly digital future.
This family-friendly entertainment promises to educate and inspire. Hip-hop and tap dancing will also be featured.
