Conceived by Lisa Rafferty and written with two mom friends, Stefanie Cloutier and Sheila Eppolito, The MOMologues is an original comedy about motherhood. The show offers “edgy, funny and true” stories about the agonies and ecstasies of the daily life of mothers. The first act follows four women through the first stages of motherhood — trying to get pregnant, the untold truth of being pregnant, labor and delivery war stories, and life with a newborn. The second act focuses on adjusting to motherhood, having more children, picky eaters, the tooth fairy and other big lies, peeing in playgrounds, gender differences and all the rest of the real-life comedy that is being a mother.
