Seacoast Repertory Theatre presents Ragtime, an epic musical based on E.L. Doctorow’s novel, by the award-winning composer/lyricist team of Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, which paints a nostalgic and powerful portrait of life in turn-of-the-century America. Ragtime intertwines the saga of three ethnically diverse New York families touched and changed by the forces of society illustrating history’s timeless contradictions of wealth and poverty, freedom and prejudice, hope and despair, and love and hate.
