About This Show

Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is transported to modern-day New York City, as two young idealistic lovers find themselves caught between warring street gangs, the “American” Jets and the Puerto Rican Sharks. Their struggle to survive in a world of hate, violence and prejudice is one of the most innovative, heart-wrenching and relevant musical dramas of our time. West Side Story features an exciting, sophisticated score by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim that is often considered Broadway’s best, including songs such as “Maria,” “America,” “I Feel Pretty,” “Somewhere,” “Tonight” and “One Hand, One Heart.”

There are no matinee performances on Wednesdays, June 13 & July 4.

A special Gala Performance is arranged for Sunday, June 23 at 5:00pm.
