Twelfth Night (TH)

Young Viola narrowly escapes a shipwreck and is cast ashore in an unknown country, separated from her twin brother, who apparently died at sea. To ensure her safety, she naturally assumes the disguise of a man. Eventually, she/he gains employment with Duke Orsino and is asked to woo Countess Olivia on his behalf, but becomes the object of Olivia’s infatuation, instead. Meanwhile, Viola falls in love with Orsino but cannot reveal his/her feelings. Further confusions ensue when her brother appears: having escaped the shipwreck, the twin is constantly mistaken for Viola’s manly self. Twelfth Night is a laugh-out-loud portrayal of romance at its most chaotic.
