Full Cast, Creative Team Set for Orlando Shakespeare’s Velveteen Rabbit

Cast and creative team information has been announced for the Orlando Shakespeare Theater production of The Velveteen Rabbit, a musical adaptation of Margery Williams’ book set to run at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center, January 17-February 22. Brandon Roberts will direct.

Patrick Flick’s adaptation adds a variety of musical styles to the story of a stuffed rabbit in a nursery full of toys who longs to become real through the love of its owner. The cast will include Desiree Bacala as the Velveteen Rabbit, Andrew Knight as the Boy, Brittney Rentschler as Nana, Michael Beaman as the Skin Horse, Kyle Crowder as Soldier, and Ingrid A. Marable as Model Boat.

The creative team will include Amy Hadley (lighting design), Denise Warner (costume design),and Vandy Wood (set design).
