Tonight will be the official Broadway opening of the Lincoln Center Theater-produced Broadway play The Nance by Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane, at the Lyceum Theatre.

The Nance stars Broadway icon Nathan Lane in the role of Chauncey Miles, a headline "Nance" performer. In the culture of 1930s burlesque, a "Nance" was a stereotypically camp homosexual male character. The play follows Miles (Lane) who makes a career out of playing one of these flamboyant men while struggling with his homosexuality in real life.

The production reunites Lane with his Tony Award-winning Producers castmate Cady Huffman, along with Andréa Burns, Jenni Barber, Mylinda Hull, Geoffrey Allen Murphy, Jonny Orsini, and Tony Award nominee Lewis J. Stadlen. Three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien directs.
