Harbor Lights Theater Company Holds First Meeting of Its Newly Formed Theater Guild
The guild gives community members an opportunity to share their talents and passion for the arts.
Harbor Lights Theater Company has formed the Harbor Lights Theater Guild, a new program which gives members of the community an opportunity to share their talents and passion for the arts. Members will act as ambassadors for the company by welcoming incoming artists, hosting opening-night parties, and assisting the staff. There will also be opportunities to join specialized committees, each focused on a particular operation of Harbor Lights. Another recruitment meeting will be held in mid-April.
"By forming this guild we are giving theater enthusiasts the opportunity to come together and collectively be part of the continued growth of our company... They can join us for the ride as we continue to build, and get recognition as, a premier regional theater company," said Tamara Jenkins, executive artistic director, in a statement.
The Harbor Lights Theater Company is dedicated to creating high-quality theatrical productions and educational outreach within New York City's borough of Staten Island. The company seeks to establish a national presence and a reputation for excellence, contributing to the renaissance of their community.
