Richard Crawford will direct the Brooklyn Studio Lab’s world premiere of Edward Scissorhands: The Stage Adaptation to run June 25 – July 3 at the Bayard Studio Theatre in Williamsburg.

The piece is based on Tim Burton’s Gothic fairy tale and focuses on a man, created by a mad inventor in a castle overlooking a picture-perfect suburb, who finds himself alone and isolated after the scientist’s death.

Crawford, a founding member of The Flying Machine, has directed in both the U.S. and the U.K. and created work for Cirque du Soleil. His directorial credits include Evanescent and Filthy McNasty presents Dick Biscuit.
