Lesli Margherita, original cast member of Matilda The Musical on Broadway, will return to the Shubert Theatre in the role of Mrs. Wormwood beginning September 6. The role is currently played by Amy Spanger.
Since creating the role of Mrs. Wormwood on Broadway, Margherita has gone on to star as Mona Kent on Broadway in Dames at Sea and recently concluded a run in the new work A Scythe of Time at the New York Musical Festival.
