90210's Jason Priestley to Star in David Mamet's Race in Toronto
The former Brandon Walsh will play lawyer Jack Lawson.
Beverly Hills it is not. Jason Priestley, best known for his role as Brandon Walsh on the television series Beverly Hills, 90210, is heading to the Great White North to star in Canadian Stage's production of David Mamet's Race. The play will begin previews on April 7, with an opening on April 11, and will play through May 5.
Race centers on the story of two attorneys who, with the help of a young associate, must scramble to decide if they want to represent a wealthy white man accused of assaulting a black woman. The production will also feature Matthew Edison, Cara Ricketts, and Nigel Shawn Williams.
"Performing live on stage is an incredible thrill… I am very excited to get back on stage with a group of very talented Canadian performers," said Priestley in a statement.
Priestley, a Canada native, is currently starring as Richard "Fitz" Fitzpatrick in the Canadian television show Call Me Fitz. His other credits include Tombstone, What I Like About You, and Medium.
