The Mineola Twins

Just in time for election year, Theater Schmeater presents The Mineola Twins, Paula Vogel’s raucous and passionate satire of American
politics.

Just how different can identical twins be? Myrna, the “good” twin, is a
staunch conservative and “stacked,” and Myra, the “evil” twin, is a radical,
activist, lesbian, and flat as a pancake. Follow the battles between these
two (almost) identical twins through the landscape of the Eisenhower, Nixon,
& Reagan/Bush administrations, as each twin lives out one extreme of
America¹s conservative/liberal split, trying to define herself in opposition
to the other and exploding our political culture along the way. Wildly
theatrical, and ultimately moving, the play takes on the unique
schizophrenia that is American politics.
