The Last Five Years

The Last Five Years chronicles a young couple’s romance in a new and exciting way: her story starts at the end of their relationship; his begins on the day they met. Jamie is a struggling writer and Cathy is a struggling actress. They meet each other and hit it off winningly. They court for a while and then decide to get married. As Jamie starts to have success as a writer, Cathy is frustrated that she is still working in summerstock theatre. Their relationship starts getting shaky. Although they don’t see each other often, Cathy is confident that their relationship will get a jump-start soon, but Jamie sees his side differently.
