About the Show

The Good Body consists of a range of monologues based on the experiences of women from Bombay to Beverly Hills, written and performed by Eve Ensler. Through this confessional form, Ensler taps into an underlying obsession with women’s bodies that transcends societal borders, illustrating her impressions with poignancy and vulnerability. Ensler frames these stories with her own personal journey from a self-loathing teenager to a (sometimes) self-accepting adult. Interspersed throughout the evening are “excerpts” from Ensler’s lifelong dialogue with her belly – a sassy and conniving antagonist in its own right.

Performances are in the PONCHO Forum, with a final performance on May 3 in the Bagley Wright Theatre.

There is no performance Sunday, April 25. There is an added performance Saturday, May 1 at 1:30 pm.
