The Faithkiller

Taffety Punk Theatre Company presents the world premiere The Faithkiller, by Gwydion Suilebhan, directed by Marcus Kyd.

The play sets Taffety Punk’s restless and ever-questioning punk aesthetic to a bold new work that upends conventional notions of American religion and media. When an ambitious young network television producer resurrects a 1940s-era radio program and recasts its central character as an atheist superhero, conflicts over the nature of faith and the power of belief erupt across lines of family, politics and culture. The Faithkiller is a parable for an age when old-time religion is colliding (and colluding) with the New Atheism.
