Somewhere in the Pacific

Somewhere in the Pacific takes place on a cargo ship transporting sailors and marines to Japan during the final days of WWII. Dreams of violent death, memories of past betrayals, and sheer terror overwhelm the young men as they make what they think will be their last voyage. The permeable border between male comradeship and sex the military tries so hard to maintain keeps breaking down as intimacy is the only viable way of forgetting briefly the terror of war.
