Moby Dick Rehearsed

The American Century Theater presents Orson Welles’ Moby Dick Rehearsed, directed by Jack Marshall. A director challenges his Shakespeare troupe to improvise a stage production of Melville’s whaling novel.

First and last seen on the Washington area stage in 1997, audiences will once again be able to be “happily surrendered to the improvisatory illusion.” (Mondello, City Paper) as well as “almost believe that something horribly real [is] coming up through the floor” (Triplett, Washington Post) while witnessing “a dynamite show.” (Pressley, Washington Times).
